INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRESS
(Part I)

"I was just brewing up some almighty potions for Allhallows Eve and Samhain-gotta love these deadly twin holidays. Zombies, malevolent spirits and ghostly druids lurking throughout the lands, hungry for human sacrifices...the scent of blood and burning flesh descending to the Lord of the Dead. Hallelujah."

"Nothing beats a haunted moonlit night on Allhallowmas Eve... And on this fatal night, at this witching time, the starless sky laments black and unmoving. The somber hues of an ominous, dark forest are suddenly illuminated under the emerging face of the full moon. Distant howling chilling me to the bone...Ah...Inter nos...soul kiss...desideratum...wolf man...forest goddess...mirabile visu...."

"'Exurgent Mortui Et Ad Me Veniunt'. Yeah, that's one of my titles. Very heedful. Transliteration. 'The Dead Rise and Come to Me'."

"Fall should be likened to fire-a beautiful, raging kaleidoscopic, whirlwind death march burning out of control. It bleeds beautiful leaf-strewn colors and dances and whips and burns and laments to its poetic death below the ground...."

"I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm coo-coo for Cocoa-Puffs...but he's been afraid of me since I was first hatched by that shallow grave in the poison amethyst patch in the forest."

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRESS
(Part II)

"No matter what, when I write I pour my heart and soul out. I bleed onto each page, almost literally-sometimes literally. That's because it's my reality. I only write about what I know, what I feel, what I am impassioned about. I'm either in love, or dread, with what's dripping onto the pages."

"When I write about vampires, I am writing about what I know best, my true love. It would take too long to explain this properly, and, more importantly, it's way too personal, but to sum it up a bit about how I feel, I'll quote Einstein who said quite simply, 'The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious.' I couldn't agree more."

"You can find me in my darkly lit crypt, listening to the Sisters of Mercy or Lycia...drinking a glass of red, red wine...slitting my wrists.... If I ever invite anyone over, they can watch me paint my red room darker...ah...I am so thirsty."

"You want to know if I was born with the '666' apocalyptic number of the beast, or if I got drunk with some girlfriends recently and had my head tattooed?"

"I never felt quite comfortable in this world, even as a small child."

"I had some psycho-Catholic-cringing-at-the-word-evolution-agnostic-hating females telling me I was going to burn in hell if I didn't believe in God and if I kept questioning things...."

"I was not a good little brain-dead robotic lamb following the fanatically religious, God-fearing nimrods to the slaughter...."

"Even though it's obvious by my writing and personality that I'm a 'Phantasizer,' my own created branch of new and improved aesthetic philosophy, real reality wise, I feel it would be insane for me to blindly believe in what I just cannot see. In reality, I believe in nature and science and evolution and genetics."

"I believe the immaculate conception starts with the smallest bit of matter that can be conceived. The 'fundamental particle.' I believe we are all just carbon-based compounds...basically, we're defined by the structure of deoxyribonucleic acids-a DNA molecule or combination of DNA molecules determines the shape, form, and function of each of us-the offspring. Th-th-that's all folks...."

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRESS
(Part III)

"I still cut myself in my sleep, only I enjoy it more now than I did at six or seven."

"Sometimes I'd wake up bewildered in strange places in my house-a crawl space, the red room, a corner in the attic, which was dangerous because there were low beams with long nails sticking out of them, and I know what it feels like to have one stick in your head, which might explain some stuff about me...."

"I'm no wack-o. That was my Kenneth Keith impression. I can tell you're impressed by the way you just banged the phone against your head."

"Fairy-tale girl? Actually, I see myself more as the deformed and hideous Cryptkeeper. Especially when I pull my face off at night."

"Is it just me or do you ever think about wrapping your hands around his scrawny neck and squeezing until his skull pops off?"
